PROS & CONS
+ I am on the computer every day!
- I am on the computer every day.
+ I find myself content with simple things and have been feeling very relaxed, domestic, et al.
- I am bored out of my skull.
+ So this is what three meals a day feels like.
- It feels like ten additional pounds on each thigh.
+ My Japanese is improving daily.
- But it still sucks.
+ I learn a new kanji every day.
- Kanji suck.
+ I am reading a lot of books.
- Only two of those books are in English and are not some kind of textbook. The others are picture books from Shimon-chan's private library.
+ I don't have to talk to anybody when I don't feel like it.
- I couldn't talk to anybody even if I did feel like it.
+ I listen to a lot of Angela Aki.
- I wish I was listening to Tracy Chapman.
+ Chocolate and rice are always on hand.
- Chocolate and rice are always on hand.
+ I sleep regular hours.
- I sleep on a tatami mattress (which means it is incrementally softer than your average hardwood floor).
And the best/worst of the lot?
+ I am in Japan and listen to Utada Hikaru's newest songs on store intercoms...
- ...but I forgot to load said newest songs onto my iPod, and now "Stay Gold" is stuck in my head on constant repeat.

...two fangirls at Anime Boston mispronounced "yaoi" as "yahweh". Just thought you might find that as entertaining as Ellen and I did.
Also, I haz shiny shiny deluxe edition Tsubasa volume 1. :DDD And Chun Hyang and Doumeki figurines.
Kanji suck! YOUR GRAMMAR DETERIORATE VERY MUCH! Poor Sara, at least you're in Japan. I want to be in Japan. Every nerd you know wants to be in Japan.
RANDOLPH UPDATE:
fyi I've linked most people I see during the day to your blog - including Mrs. Rupprecht and Geoff Lamb *The big kid, other than Tango, from last year's geek club at lunch in the auditorium pod* Incidentally, he's an INCREDIBLY good singer and guitar player, and writes all his own songs. Everyone in the school just found out and he's gaining popularity very fast, which I think makes him uncomfortable. He's so modest, and apparently he started playing only two years ago. Facebook music page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Geoff-Lamb/7917693257
I'll try and update you with more news from the dreadfully dull Randolph each time you make a post I suppose.
Oh god damn it, Kanji is plural isn't it. DAAAMMNNN YOOOUUUUUU!
1. Pull a Konata and start sending in free gift postcards like crazy.
2. Get duplicates
3. Send to me
4. ????
5. PROFIT
I want Clamp paraphernalia!!!
Elise - It's got nothing on 'yo e', which is what a friend of mine in orientation (whose name I am not allowed to release) called it. Yo-ee. I didn't even know what she was talking about. XD. Although "yahweh" does amuse the more intellectual side of me, since the name "Yahweh" is considered the true name of God. Yeah.
WELLYOUKNOWWHATYOUBIGMEANIE I /already have/ deluxe editions 17 and 18! (BecauseSubaruisononeofthemyeahsowhat.) ...And, yeah, okay, I can't compete with CLAMP in 3D-Land figurines. Meany. They're so cuuuute.... (Obviously, I want the Subaru and Seishirou set. Though the Watanuki one is very cute too...)
Andy - The thing about Geoff Lamb? Give me a minute to decide whether or not that's the absolutely funniest thing I've heard in all my life.
...Okay, decided. DEFINITELY YES. OHMY/GOD/. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Seriously, you have no idea how funny this is to me. Absofuckinglutely /hilarious/.
And yes, kanji is plural, because Japanese has no plural - so it could be one kanji, two kanji, or twenty kanji. (But it wouldn't matter, because you know what? They /all/ suck.)
Kim - ...wtrrfngle? Huh?
